Your new home in Bath

We know that starting a postgraduate degree gives you a lot to think about, so we want to make accommodation easy.

A panoramic view of the city of Bath

When you move into your postgraduate University accommodation, you’ll get more than a room – you become part of our ready-made community of postgraduate students from across the world.

Our exclusive postgraduate accommodation is based in the beautiful city of Bath. Your home is just a short bus ride away from our leafy campus, with all of the exciting attractions and amenities of the city right on your doorstep.

Bath is generally a safe city, but when you choose University accommodation you’ll also get the support of our Security team, who are available 24/7 should you need them.

As most students want to be able to choose whether to socialise or to study peacefully, our accommodation is designed with shared kitchens and social spaces to allow you to get to know your housemates and cook meals together, as well as private bedrooms and quiet study areas for when you want to focus on your studies.

As you’ll have plenty to think about this year, we like to keep our accommodation simple. Our rent is all-inclusive, meaning that all of your utility bills are covered by one regular payment – including fast WiFi in all of our rooms.

If you'd like to add any extras to your standard accommodation package, you can pick and choose the following additional items:

At Bath, your wellness and wellbeing is our priority. Our ResLife team are here to help you to settle in, with ResLife Ambassadors on hand for any advice or help that you may need.

Welcome activities

Our ResLife Ambassadors are here to welcome you to your University accommodation and help you to settle in.

Our ResLife Ambassadors run welcome meetings and orientation events, such as city centre tours, walking tours of the City and tea and talk sessions to help you settle in Bath and learn about where you will be living.

Throughout the year, our ResLife Team will run activities and events to help you meet other students, as well as keeping you informed on important accommodation news. We have ResLife Ambassadors assigned to cover all of our University accommodation – these roles are filled by current students who have previously lived with us so are well placed to help you.

The Living in a New Culture (LINC) programme aims to provide information and support to all new international students. There will be information sessions which will give students the opportunity to connect with their peers, as well as providing practical information and tips surrounding life in the UK. This includes areas such as healthcare, cultural adjustment, travel, food and drink, safety and welfare, money, and more.

Operated by our Students Union, the Bath Active programme is designed to make sports and exercise accessible to all – including fitness and yoga classes. For the 2023/24 academic year, we will be working to bring these opportunities even closer to our residents in accommodation, including plans to deliver classes and activities in the your Living Lounges located in your accommodation.

What postgraduate students say about living in University accommodation

"I like the fact that its close to the city and shops, close to the bus stop to the main campus, and it's safe. I love the rooms, they are clean and well maintained."

"We have the perks of being able to live near the city centre, while also having the added security and support from the University. Good way to still get the 'city feel' while being close enough to commute to University."

"I often go for a walk to some beautiful places around my accommodation."

"Well-located; easy to get to the city and University. The environment is quiet, so it is nice to be just outside the city centre."

"The kitchen and the social area are the best parts; I love that there is enough space for the entire flat to socialise."
